Our history

A family story

1988: Our grandfather Nikola started breeding Mulard ducks in the village of Golyam Izvor, Stambolovo municipality.
Annual capacity: 30,000 Mulard ducks.

1994: Mr. Iliya Tenev and Mr. Vladimir Zhelev founded Tedimex Ltd. and continued the family tradition by integrating modern technologies into the farming process.
Annual duck production increased to: 100,000.

1996–1999: In parallel with Mulard duck farming, 20,000 geese were raised annually.

2003: A feed production facility was established in the village of Malevo.

2004: Installation of a modern pad-cooling system in the bird housing facilities.
Annual duck production increased to: 140,000.

2006: Mr. Georgi Latev, grandson of Nikola, joined Tedimex Ltd. as Commercial Director and launched direct exports to France, Spain, and Belgium. The primary destination became Rungis, France – the largest food market in Europe.
Annual duck production increased to: 160,000.

2009: Installation of scraper cleaning systems in poultry houses and implementation of a mechanized and environmentally-friendly waste disposal system. A biological waste treatment program was implemented in accordance with EU environmental protection standards. All farms were certified.
Annual duck production reached: 200,000.

2010: Tedimex Ltd. acquired a one-third stake in the poultry slaughterhouse TER-M Ltd., specialized in processing waterfowl.
2023: Tedimex Ltd. exited TER-M Ltd. by selling its shares and entered a strategic partnership with the slaughterhouse Bulian JSC.
